  • Workroom is a new strength-focused reformer Pilates studio opening soon in San Leandro. It’s Pilates-inspired, full-body, low-impact — and designed to make you seriously strong.

  • Workroom is low impact, strength focused, and designed with plenty of modifications so most people can succeed here — but we’ll be honest, it’s not for everyone. Our classes are challenging, slow, controlled, and will make you sweat.

    If you want to build real strength, feel stronger in everyday life, and you enjoy being coached in a supportive room, you’ll fit right in. If you’re looking for something super gentle or easy, this probably isn’t the right studio.

  • The Workroom Method is a full body strength training system built on slow, controlled resistance. Every movement challenges your muscles to stay under tension longer, building deep strength, balance, and endurance that carry into everyday life.

  • We run classes Monday through Saturday with both morning and evening options.

    Weekday mornings start early with classes from 5:30 AM through 9:30 AM, and evenings kick back up after work with sessions that run through 7:30 PM. Saturdays include a full morning lineup to start the weekend strong.

  • We’re located at 1620 Washington Avenue in downtown San Leandro, right in the Parrott Center.

  • Not at all. Whether you’re brand new or experienced, our team will make sure you feel confident on day one.

  • Of course we believe our immersive experience with dynamic lighting, curated playlists, and workouts that leave you shaking in the best way will stand out.

    But honestly, what really makes us different is our team. We’re not just reformer instructors. Our crew includes personal trainers, group fitness leaders, an Olympic weightlifter, and even a neuro exercise therapist who works with paralyzed patients (yeah, seriously). That mix of experience means we know how to challenge you, adjust for your needs, and care about your whole fitness journey, not just one workout.

    And then there’s the vibe. We don’t take ourselves too seriously. The space is colorful, fun, and designed to feel different than the typical studio. It’s a place where you can just show up, put the focus on yourself, and actually enjoy the process.

  • Classical Pilates (studios like Club Pilates) focuses on flow, posture, and precision. It’s slower paced, restorative, and amazing for core awareness and control.

    Workroom is a bit different. We’re Pilates-inspired strength training on the reformer, built to make you stronger in everyday life.

    It’s still low impact and core driven, but expect more intensity, more challenge, and muscles that shake in the best way possible.

    Think of it this way: Pilates is about control and flow. Workroom is about control, strength, and intensity.
